Aetna 2022 Bonus Program 


Enroll early, get paid early

Jumpstart your earnings. Just submit applications for new 2022 Aetna ACA Individual and Family Plans in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Texas or Virginia between November 15, 2021 and December 15, 2021. When you do, you will be eligible to earn additional broker credits based on the enrolled membership.

Getting started — about the program

• You can earn up to $50 or $60 per enrolled member for applications received between November 15, 2021 and December 15, 2021, subject to a minimum of 25 qualifying members in each participating state.

• For new 2022 Aetna Individual ACA Individual and Family Plan medical sales only, including Sales of Banner|Aetna and Innovation Health plans.

• New business qualification tracked by state; no combining business across states.

• For the purpose of calculating enrolled member credits, Broker shall be subject to a per-policy maximum of 5 members for both qualification and payment.

• Brokers must have at least one eligible policy effectuated by December 31, 2021 per qualifying state to be eligible for credits in that state.

• We will pay credits by March 31, 2022.

• Credits earned will be in addition to those earned under Aetna’s national producer programs including but not limited to the other Individual and Family credit programs.

2022 UnitedHealthcare Agent Bonus Program 

We are pleased to share the new member bonus program in place for 2022. This bonus program applies to all new sales of UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Exchange products from Nov. 1, 2021 – Jan. 15, 2022.

Payment Structure for New Members 

  • Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Washington

    • Level 1

      • 5-49 members – $50 per member 

    • Level 2 

      • 50+ – $100 per member 

  • Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee

    • Level 1 

      • 5-49 members – $50 per member 

    • Level 2 

      • 50-149 members – $100 per member 

    • Level 3 

      • 150+ members – %140 per member 

More information 

  • Applies to OEP sales in AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, LA, MD, MI, NC, OK, TN, TX, VA, WA with a Jan. 1, 2022, or Feb 1, 2022, effective date

  • All payment amounts listed above are a one-time bonus payment per effectuated member

  • All bonus payments will be calculated by the total number of Qualified Health Plan effective members within each state

  • Bonus amounts apply retroactively to all level one and level two policies (e.g., once 50 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the $100 bonus applies to all Tennessee policies for a total bonus payment of $5,000.)

  • Level three ($150 level) is not calculated retroactively (e.g., once 149 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the $100 bonus applies to all Tennessee policies for a total bonus payment of $14,900. When 150 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the total bonus payment will be $15,050 [$14,900 + $150].)

  • For effectuated members with applications received on or before Nov. 25, 2021, for a Jan. 1, 2022 effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Dec. 15, 2021*

  • For effectuated members with applications received on or before Dec. 15, 2021, for a Jan. 1, 2022, effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Mar. 31, 2022*

  • For effectuated members with applications received Dec. 15, 2021, through Jan. 15, 2022, for a Feb. 1, 2022, effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Apr. 29, 2022

  • There is no cap on the bonus program

  • All eligible UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family plans must be in force for a minimum of 3 months from the effective date to count as “issued.” Coverage must be in force with premium payment current at the time of contest payout to be included. If coverage is terminated for any reason prior to 3 months, the broker will be charged back for any difference if it alters the bonus amount paid.

  • Applies to sales of UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Exchange plans.

  • Applies to both on- and off-Exchange business

  • If a producer assigns commissions to an agency, the bonus payment will be paid to the agency rather than the individual agent following our standard commission payout practices

  • Broker must meet all compliance regulations and be appointed by the applicable UnitedHealthcare carrier in the state of this program

 2022 Broker Bonus Program

Earn up to $100 per member for NEW and RENEWING Bright HealthCare Individual and Family Plan members in Florida enrolled by December 31, 2021. Must have a minimum of 25 Bright HealthCare members sold in Florida to qualify. The 2022 Broker Bonus Program will be paid in April 2022.

2022 Broker Bonus Program in Florida – New and Renewed Members 

  • 25-249 — $50 per member 

  • 250-499 — $75 per member 

  • 500+ — $100 per member 

The 2022 Broker Bonus Program is applicable to all new and renewed Individual and Family Plan members that you enroll in Florida by December 31 with an effective date of January 1, 2022. Members must be effectuated and not in grace period with a paid premium through March 2022 with no lapse in coverage. This program is intended for broker participation only. This bonus program is in addition to our Early Bonus Blitz.

  • Submit all new business using the same tax identification number.

  • Members must continue coverage for at least 90 days from effective date to be eligible for payment.

  • New Business qualification tracked by state. No combining business across states.

  • New dependents of current members are not part of credit calculations.

  • The primary broker is eligible for payment on business sold through a General Agent

Disclosures

  • Broker must provide written disclosure in advance to customers about the compensation that the broker may receive from Aetna.

  • We will disclose the credits outlined in this document in accordance with our Producer Compensation Disclosure policy.

Payments

  • We will pay credits by July 31, 2022.

  • We will report credits as taxable income.

  • We will submit payments under one Tax Identification Number (TIN). We will not split payments to multiple brokers or TINs.

  • We will not be able to consider any disputes about any payments under the program unless communicated in writing within 90 days of payment release. We will not consider any retroactive payment after 90 days post-payment release.

Our 2022 bonus program rewards you for going big!

Every new and renewing individual and family member you enroll for January 1,2022 or February 1, 2022 effective date will contribute to a potential one-time bonus on top of your commission.

Eligibility 

  1. The bonus program applies only to members who reside in our service areas. 

  2. This program applies to Oscar individual and family plan members with an effective date of January 1, 2022 or February 1, 2022. 

  3. Only producers who are licensed, appointed, FFM-certified and contracted with Oscar are eligible for the bonus. Producers must meet all eligibility requirements for the program at both the time of writing business and on the payment dates. This program applies only to the Agent of Record on the policy, not to General Agencies that may assist with the enrollment. 

  4. The program applies to individual producers and cannot be aggregated at the agency level. Multiple individual producers may not aggregate business to earn bonus tiers under any circumstances. Oscar reserves the right to audit applications to ensure that

business is not aggregated for the purposes of this program.

  1. Accounts transferred for any reason, including agent of record changes, are not eligible for bonus payments.

  2. Oscar retains sole discretion to determine a producer’s eligibility for this program. Web Brokers and General Agencies are not eligible for this Bonus Program. If you have questions on your contracting status with Oscar, please reach out t o your Sales Executive.

Bonus Structure

  1. Bonus amounts apply retroactively to all policies. For example, once 150 members are enrolled, the $30 bonus applies to all policies for a total bonus payment of $4,500.

  2. There is no cap on the bonus program.

Bonus Payout Details 

  1. Bonus payments will be made t o eligible producers by the end of June 2022.

  2. Members must make three premium payments and continue coverage for at least 90 consecutive days from the effective date with no lapse in coverage to be included under this program.

  3. If a producer assigns commissions t o an agency, the bonus payment will be paid to the agency rather than the individual agent following our standard commission payout practices.

Program Terms 

  1. Disagreements or disputes regarding this program or the interpretation of rules or payout amounts will be resolved at the sole discretion of Oscar. Oscar may amend or discontinue the terms of the program at any time without advance notice.

  2. Oscar reserves the right t o recoup payment if any of these terms and conditions are violated.
