Congratulations To Our Agents On A Successful AEP!  

Thank you for working with us to reach our goal.  We closed out this AEP with these incredible numbers:

 

  • Page Views: We saw a record 39.4 million page views this AEP – an 18.9% increase over last AEP’s page views!   

 

  • Unique Users/Members: There were 7.33 million unique users/members utilizing the ConnectureDRX sites this AEP.

 

  • Enrollment Submissions: Along with the significant increase in overall page views, there was a nearly 30% increase over last year’s total enrollments submitted through the ConnectureDRX platform during AEP.   

 

  • Text/Email to Sign Enrollment:  By the end of AEP, we saw an increase of 66% for enrollments sent to beneficiaries to sign and submit.  54.1% were sent via email, 14.9% sent via text and 31% sent via both email and text.

 

  • Text/Email SOA: Usage increased by 52.8% this AEP, with 61.7% sent via email and 38.3% sent via text.

 

  • Connections to MyMedicare.gov: We also saw a significant increase in the volume of connections being made to MyMedicare.gov for beneficiaries to allow their prescription drug information to be shared with ConnectureDRX sites.  There were over 38,000 connections to MyMedicare.gov this AEP with 87% of beneficiaries providing approval to share that data.

Announcing a 5-Star Rating in Texas!

I am excited to share that ALL 4590 plans received a Star Rating of 5 out of 5 stars for 2022 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)!

 

Star Ratings are one of many tools available to help Medicare beneficiaries evaluate the quality and performance of their Medicare plan. You can find more information on Medicare.gov. 

 

Beginning December 8, 2021, consumers have a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to enroll in this 5-Star plan through Nov. 30, 2022, using the 5-Star SEP. This SEP applies to all Medicare beneficiaries – just use the 5 Star SEP dropdown in LEAN at enrollment!

 

This plan also provides the largest Medicare Advantage network that gives members access to over one million providers in our national network at network costs.

How You Can Impact Star Ratings

You can influence our Star Ratings by supporting a positive experience for our members during sales seasons and by encouraging them to take advantage of their covered services to live healthier lives. Here are some direct ways agents can make an impact:

 

  • Collect all information on the enrollment form to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Help your member to complete a Health Assessment following a LEAN application.

  • Explain thoroughly the benefits and copays of the member’s plan.

  • Communicate to members how to contact their Primary Care Provider (PCP) to schedule an annual Wellness exam.

·       Reassure members that when UnitedHealthcare contacts them periodically, it is to assist with assessing preventive care needs, such as flu shots, mammograms and medication reconciliation.

First Aetna, CVS Health® branded insurance plan offers value and ease

Health insurance will be significantly more affordable for millions of Americans in 2022, thanks to pandemic relief approved by Congress earlier this year. The ability to sign up for many low- and no-cost plans during the open enrollment window is time-limited.

To help more Americans get health coverage during the pandemic, the American Rescue Plan Act included enhanced premium tax credits for individuals who purchase their own health plans in the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) health insurance marketplaces.

The ACA’s open enrollment period for 2022 began on Monday, November 1, and closes on Saturday, January 15, 2022. However, those who want coverage for the new calendar year will need to enroll by December 15, 2021.

One option will come from Aetna, a CVS Health company, which is re-entering the ACA individual insurance market in 2022 with the company’s first Aetna CVS Health branded insurance product. The plans will be available in select counties in eight states. The company aims to increase health care accessibility and affordability and improve health equity in local communities.

Florida, which has the nation’s highest ACA enrollment, is one of the eight states where the new plan will be offered in 2022. CVS Health has already started to evaluate expansion within these geographies.

Cost is also a significant driver of health care decisions for consumers in the individual marketplaces, the new plans feature tiered-benefit designs to accommodate different income levels and innovative features.

Request for Information (RFI)

Request for Information (RFI) status occurs when a submitted application is either incomplete or contains incorrect information. To avoid processing delays or application denial, please ensure you provide accurate and complete information.

You will be informed through email and text message if you have applications in RFI status. Please be on the lookout for these notifications and act promptly to resolve them. Important: RFIs must be resolved within 21 days of application receipt from the member, or the application will be denied.

The Request For Information Resource Page contains further instructions on how to resolve RFIs.

Broker Identifier on Applications

When submitting enrollment applications, please be sure to use the appropriate Broker Identifier. Do not use an Agency Identifier as this will impact commission processing and reporting. Please refer to the table below as a guide.

2022 UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Plan Bonus Information

Arizona, Texas, & Virginia UPDATES: 2022 UnitedHealthcare** Agent Bonus Program

We are excited to expand the new member bonus program in place for 2022 to include Arizona, Texas and Virginia in the Tier 3 opportunity. This bonus program applies to all new sales of UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Exchange products from Nov. 1, 2021 – Jan. 15, 2022.

Payment Structures – New Members 

  • Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, Washington

    • Level 1: 5-49 members – $50 per member 

    • Level 2: 50+ members – $100 member 

  • Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia 

    • Level 1: 5-49 members – $50 per member 

    • Level 2: 50-149 members – $100 per member 

    • Level 3: 150+ members – $150 per member 

Details: 

  • Applies to OEP sales in AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, LA, MD, MI, NC, OK, TN, TX, VA, WA with a Jan. 1, 2022, or Feb 1, 2022, effective date 

  • All payment amounts listed above are a one-time bonus payment per effectuated member 

  • All bonus payments will be calculated by the total number of Qualified Health Plan effective members within each state 

  • Bonus amounts apply retroactively to all level one and level two policies (e.g., once 50 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the $100 bonus applies to all Tennessee policies for a total bonus payment of $5,000.) 

  • Level three ($150 level) is not calculated retroactively (e.g., once 149 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the $100 bonus applies to all Tennessee policies for a total bonus payment of $14,900. When 150 members living in Tennessee are effectuated by an individual producer, the total bonus payment will be $15,050 [$14,900 + $150].)

  •  For effectuated members with applications received on or before Nov. 25, 2021, for a Jan. 1, 2022 effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Dec. 15, 2021* 

  • For effectuated members with applications received on or before Dec. 15, 2021, for a Jan. 1, 2022, effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Mar. 31, 2022* 

  • For effectuated members with applications received Dec. 15, 2021, through Jan. 15, 2022, for a Feb. 1, 2022, effective date, bonus payment will be made no later than Apr. 29, 2022 

  • There is no cap on the bonus program 

  • All eligible UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family plans must be in force for a minimum of 3 months from the effective date to count as “issued.” Coverage must be in force with premium payment current at the time of contest payout to be included. If coverage is terminated for any reason prior to 3 months, the broker will be charged back for any difference if it alters the bonus amount paid. 

  • Applies to sales of UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Exchange plans. 

  • Applies to both on- and off-Exchange business 

  • If a producer assigns commissions to an agency, the bonus payment will be paid to the agency rather than the individual agent following our standard commission payout practices 

  • Broker must meet all compliance regulations and be appointed by the applicable UnitedHealthcare carrier in the state of this program
